Board of Education: Book Ban Call to Action - Work Session

The battle for our public school shelves didn't end with getting Roots back on the grid. It exposed just how much of the book review process is happening completely in the dark. A closed-door committee shouldn't be making decisions that dictate what access 60,000+ local students have to information and diverse stories.

That is exactly why the Knox Young Dems are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the League of Women Voters and their 14 community partners. We need a heavy presence of young progressives to echo this call for absolute transparency, accountability, and a formal, inclusive process at the Board of Education. Let's back this initiative, pack the upcoming board meetings, and make sure our local leaders hear us loud and clear!
