This meeting is the heartbeat of our organization.

We’ll be checking in on where KYD stands as we move deeper into the fall, reviewing leadership and organizational updates, preparing for the November election, and discussing the voter-registration, community, and civic work ahead.

We’ll also spend time on two major fundraising priorities: launching 20/20 for the Future, our September fundraising push, and continuing to move A Night of Gore from planning into production.

Members will have the chance to weigh in on upcoming activities, volunteer opportunities, and the priorities KYD should be focused on through the rest of September and into October.

Who Can Attend?

This meeting is specifically designed for official members so we can conduct organization business effectively, but you are welcome to attend as a non-member!

Step-by-step training on how to securely and accurately help someone register to vote in Tennessee.

Local regulations and common pitfalls to avoid so every single form gets counted.

Best practices for confidently approaching people at tables and kicking off voter conversations.

Politics is serious. Building community doesn’t always have to be.

On the last Friday of every month, KYD trades the meeting agenda for a table, good conversation, and a chance to unwind together.

Whether you’re a longtime member, newly involved, or just curious about Knox Young Dems, Last Fridays w/ KYD is an easy way to meet people, make connections, and get to know the chapter outside of a formal meeting or volunteer shift.

Each month, we’ll visit a different spot around Knox County so more people can join us where they are.

Give back with KYD at the East Knoxville Community Cleanup!

We’re joining Keep Knoxville Beautiful for a morning of service across East Knoxville

Volunteers will help clean up roads, creeks, parks, and other areas throughout East Knoxville. Keep Knoxville Beautiful will provide cleanup supplies including litter pickers, gloves, safety vests, and trash bags.

RSVP with KYD if you plan to join us. Once we know how many volunteers are participating, we’ll coordinate our group registration and cleanup assignment with Keep Knoxville Beautiful.

Local government matters, and knowing what our elected officials are doing starts with showing up.

Join KYD’s Observer Corps as we attend the September Knox County Commission meeting, follow the issues before the Commission, and stay informed about the decisions shaping our community.

No special experience is needed. Come listen, learn, and see county government in action.
